Welcome to my website - my name is Dianne Shotton.  A fortuitous quirk of fate first brought my husband and I to GAUCÍN in 1999, and we instantly fell in love with this magical mountain village in Andalucía, embraced by stunning countryside and the dramatic terrain of the Serranía de Ronda.  This enchanting 'Pueblo Blanco' (known as the 'Balcon de la Serranía') is famous for its spectacular far-reaching views to the Mediterranean Sea, Straits of Gibraltar and Rif mountains of Morocco!!

We were so charmed by Gaucín and the warm welcome we received during our first visit, when we experienced a 'Millennium moment’ that would change the course of our lives, we decided to relocate to Gaucín and leave behind our UK roots in North Yorkshire!  A few years later, after settling into our new home, I renewed a long-held interest in properties (mainly due to my architect husband!) and whilst doing some research I discovered a niche in the local real estate market - so in 2009 gaucίn properties was formed!

Gaucín nestles in the saddle of a spiny mountain ridge at 620m above sea level with the majestic 'Castle of Eagles' silhouetted against the skyline.  Close to the River Genal and surrounded by Natural Parks, this delightful ‘Pueblo Blanco' is an ideal base for following country pursuits such as walking, hiking, birdwatching, horse-riding, trekking, cycling, canoeing, rock-climbing etc.

The COSTA DEL SOL is easily accessible, where you will discover many 'blue flag' beaches and world-famous golf courses in and around Sotogrande.  The old coastal town of ESTEPONA and glitzy MARBELLA are also within easy reach.  A little further to the west, you can discover TARIFA (Costa de La Luz), the world-famous surfing resort that also offers day-trips by ferry to MOROCCO where you can explore the exotic markets of TANGIER.

For visitors more interested in Spanish history & culture, the Medieval town of RONDA is only 40 mins away, where you can explore the world famous ‘El Tajo’ gorge and visit the oldest bullring in Spain - 'Plaza de Toros'.  The popular cities of SEVILLA, GRANADA, CORDOBA, JEREZ & CADIZ are a day-trip away, and there are 3 airports conveniently situated for travelling to Gaucín at MALAGA, GIBRALTAR & JEREZ.
